Union Sound System
Joey Chaos is proud to be adopted by Union Sound System. I understand an artist has to pay lip service to their label but Union Sound and the community it is built upon is based on integrity, honesty and a passion to build an inclusive music scene without pretence. You are my wolf pack.
Forefront future vibes. Union Sound System was formed in 2006 as a means of bringing together local, like-minded DJs, producers, promoters, and other artists. Making waves in the west coast underground music scenes, with a diverse crew of artists heading the front, Union Sound System has grown into a viable, independent, full-service music promotion. Since incorporating in 2011, Union Sound System has continued to expand, opening a label and distro, and developing a versatile, heavyweight touring sound system.
Lastly check us out live at: Union Sound System presents... UNITED, a monthly showcase of underground bass, hip-hop and live music. Featuring Okibi, Elevenn, Hundy Thou and Benny the Jett. Only $10 before midnight! More information on the Facebook event page.

Critical Mass
"'Critical Mass' is composed of footage recorded at various shows from the latter half of 2011, including a nice spattering of clips from Electric Dreams."
Thanks OKIBI, Couldn't have said it better myself! Thanks UNION SOUND SYSTEM and Ministry of Casual Living for supporting us this last year.

Ministry of Casual Living - Last Waltz of Carpetland
We played a super secret show to a packed house in Carpetland to ring in the new MINISTRY OF CASUAL LIVING window display project!
The show was the final Carpetland show, home to numerous art and performance happenings this past year including the Grindlandia grindcore festival, and we toasted the place with other Victorian acts including Witch Baby, Annette's Beach Party, and Punkin Patch. Video from this and the Electric Dreams performance to come soon but for now check out some more photos from the night HERE.
Check out the GLOBE & MAIL for more Ministry news.

Occupy
Remember how I said I wouldn't post any samples from the album? Well that still means I can upload finished tracks. In light of the recent #occupywallstreet movement I created a reactionary track titled 'Occupy'. I'll let the video speak for itself.
You can also listen to and download the track from SoundCloud.

Endless Bummer
Oh hai.
Progress is being made. As stated in the jLog we are no longer uploading samples of the album until the album is finished due to the resulting false sense of accomplishment achieved from doing so. Walker's been busy designing software and getting ready to move off the island so that's put us on the back burner a wee bit.
Nonetheless we're still bumpin' some beats and having good times. New studio monitors are a world of difference and overdubs are going smooth. Also, Escape From Wherever just passed along a sweet remix of Maybe I Miss You so expect that to be coming along soon.
PS the site might be a bit bumpy for the next week or two as we're upgrading the site (woo web 2.0, sorry we missed the boat) and switching servers. l33+.

Coyote
'Coyote' by Joey Chaos. A partial Bildungsroman on the sublime ambience of dream architecture and selective transience.
To quote my good friend Steffi, "Wait, what?" That's right, I've directed a short film. Not quite the big news update you were expecting but that's alright by me.
Sweet deal. I've included music by my friends in this film AND if you wait for the second half and watch all the credits, you'll get the details on my new album and a glimpse of the album artwork by David.
Without further ado:

I've started my jLog to write about the album, post samples, and post whatever I damn well please. Should be a good time
For a taste of what's up you can check out a work in progress I posted earlier today. It's an old time spiritual just in time for the holiday season.
